Evelyn Pinto-Cardona, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist who is licensed in Florida and holds her Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC’s) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing-Association (ASHA). Evelyn specializes in pediatrics and brings over 5 years of experience to Reconnect Therapy Services, where she provides services to children and parents via in person sessions in West Kendall and via Telehealth to all of Florida.
Evelyn graduated summa cum laude with an A.A. in Speech Language Pathology & Audiology from Miami Dade Honors College Dual Language Program in 2013. She then attended Florida International University and graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. degree in psychology and a speech and language pathology certificate in 2015. After graduating with her Bachelors, she obtained her Master of Science and Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2017 from Florida International University. While studying to attain her Master degree she completed her thesis: Effects of Bilingualism in Short-Term Memory in Individuals with Down syndrome, which was made possible by Dr. Alfredo Ardila, her lead advisor professor, Dr. Monica Hough and Dr. Eliane Ramos.
Shortly after graduating with her Master degree, Evelyn moved to Virginia where she completed her Clinical Fellowship year. In Virginia she worked for a public school district evaluating and treating students with communication deficits in elementary school; as well as providing mentorship related to speech-language to staff and parents. She also participated as a weekly member of the special education committee and as the county’s Spanish translator at IEP meetings. Once her clinical fellowship year ended, Evelyn moved back to Miami (FL) and continued working at pediatric private practices providing screenings, evaluations, diagnosis, treatment and serving as a clinical supervisor to speech-language pathology assistants.
Evelyn enjoys working closely and co-treating with educators, occupational therapists, physical therapists, behavioral therapists and school psychologists. She has experience working with children who have developmental delays, speech/language disorders, hearing impairments, behavioral disorders, cognitive impairments, fluency disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, pragmatic language disorders, feeding disorders, ADHD, Down syndrome, Autism and Apraxia.
When Evelyn is not busy supporting her amazing patients, she enjoys spending quality time at home with her son, husband and French bulldog.
Diana Muñoz, M.S., CCC-SLP

Diana Muñoz, M.S. CCC-SLP is a bilingual speech-language pathologist. Diana is licensed in Florida with the Department of Health and nationally certified with her Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech Language Hearing Association. During her studies she was a volunteer at Nicklaus Children's Hospital as well as a research assistant at Florida International University's Center for Children's and Families. She obtained her Bachelor's of Arts in psychology and certificate in Speech-Language Pathology in 2015, graduating with magna cum laude. She went on to graduate with her Masters of Science from Florida International University in 2017 with the owner, Evelyn (yay!).
Diana's experience is primarily in the public school and private practice setting including teletherapy. Her passion lies in language disorders including reading disorders such as dyslexia. She has an in-depth understanding of how social-emotional and cognitive skills such as executive functions including memory, attention, planning and linguistic processes interact. She is always eager to learn, grow and collaborate with others. She understands the importance of how interaction and engagement impact relationship building as well as zones of proximal development and growth mindset equally impact the individual's learning.
Her knowledge is not limited to Individualized Education Plans, Response to Intervention, case management, evaluations, re-evaluations, screenings, observations, hearing screenings, parent/staff training, team collaboration, formulating specialized and functional treatment plans.
During her free time she enjoys taking her toddlers to a new park, nightly dance parties with her family, going on a vacation somewhere new and reading a book.
